In this election, DePietro is being challenged by First Ward Councilmember Margaret Morris, which is a bit of a change for him. In the past two elections, DePietro has run unopposed.

Laughable. We should have adopted the proposed charter at the last election. It includes term limits and would have prevented this Tom-foolery.
ReplyDeleteIf the rumors are true and Tom DP has purchased a home in Missouri with intent to leave Hudson in a few years then one should really consider his motivation to continue holding onto power for so long. Is it for the current and future residents of Hudson or is it for his legacy and ego? I don’t think we should continue to trust someone with the reins of our legislative body and its agenda to someone with no future stakes in the long term social and financial stability of our city. It’s hubris, plain and simple.
ReplyDeleteAs Tom eases into the life of greener southern pastures he should consider entering his George W. era and learn how to paint. Hopefully the voters will hand him the paint brush as a retirement gift.

We shouldn't be voting for a council "president," the council should be. So don't do it. Don't continue to encourage what is obviously flawed and WRONG.
