More About Spicer and Gavin

This morning the Register-Star published its article about the outcome of the charges brought by Steven Spicer against Thomas Gavin: "Charges against Gavin are dropped." The article reveals that the statement from the district attorney's office was written by Assistant District Attorney John Hillman. It also quotes an affidavit provided by Safety Officer Robert Rochler, which interestingly confirms that "Mr. Gavin did point his finger at one point at Mr. Spicer"--a gesture that Hillman's statement indicated was not evident in the security video: "The security video . . . does not show the actions alleged, namely, that Mr. Gavin pointed his finger in the complainant’s face."
