UPDATE: 226-228 Warren Street

Just when you think this building can't get any more inappropriate looking, it does--this time with the addition of shiny copper roofs. (The approved plans indicated "tin roofing material.") How long does it take for copper to oxidize?

  1. It takes a long time to age naturally but there is an easily assessable chemical available that will brown it immediately.

  2. Carole, I have used cooper roofing many times. It will turn the color of a circulated penny after a few rainy days or so. To get to the green patina that copper is famous for, it can take 10-15 years.

  3. lucy eagerly awaiting for the new warren street aquarium windows to be filled with exotic fish and fauna! thanks for the news, opinions, info and fun.

happy holidays to gossips and william
