Everlasting Hope Animal Rescue & Advocacy describes its mission in this way:
Everlasting Hope Animal Rescue and Advocacy is a rescue group dedicated to not only saving animals’ lives but also raising awareness of the huge over population of unwanted pets not only in New York but all over. Also to educate about the diseases prone to certain pets and preventative treatment and maintenance.
We are made up of a group of pet loving and owning people who lost that one special pet that touched our hearts so deeply and that can never be replaced. With every animal we adopt, we try very hard to match the right pet with the right forever parents. We want our adopters to find that wonderful, special companion in one of our rescue animals as we have been blessed to find in our lives.
People seeking to adopt pets must fill out an application, which can be requested at adoptapup@hotmail.com, provide references, and be willing to allow a home visit/house check. There is an adoption fee of $250.
The $250 is probably for Vet work already done.
ReplyDeleteAll shots up to date, spay/neuter. Tested for heartworm, lyme disease. Expensive treatment
but required treatment for the puppy or grown dog to move on. Home visits and house check(?) are to see how the family lives. Sometimes a fenced yard is required depending on the breed.
All excellent requirements for any/all rescue groups. Plus the necessary application and references. Jerry is a beauty!
