Another Culinary Event at Christ Church

Next Tuesday, February 12, is Shrove Tuesday--Pancake Tuesday--and whether or not you plan to deprive yourself of some indulgence during the forty days leading up to Easter, Shrove Tuesday is always a good excuse to eat pancakes for dinner on the last feast day before Lent.

As they do every year, the folks at Christ Church Episcopal are hosting a pancake supper on the night before Ash Wednesday in the Parish Hall at 431 Union Street. From 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, the men of the parish, assisted by the Youth Group, will be serving up pancakes with maple syrup--accompanied by sausages and sausage gravy for the carnivores among us. There's even an early bird special: from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m., you can get your pancakes to take away. Dining in or taking out, the price is $6 for adults and $4 for children under 10.
