Casualty of the Storm

The storm yesterday took down trees all over the city, but one whose absence may be noted by the greatest number of people is this one at Rick's Point.

  1. I went by Rick's point to pay my respects to the fallen tree. I found it cordoned off with yellow CAUTION-DO NOT CROSS tape. Why does Hudson feel it needs to protect me from a tree stump?

    1. @ Chris Sheffield--I was at Rick's Point earlier in the week--before the storm--and the tape was already there. DPW put grass seed on the ground beyond the boulders, and I think the tape is meant to keep people off and give the grass a chance to take hold and grow.

  2. Ok, thanks Carol, I jumped to the wrong conclusion. DPW does a great job. I guess I'm just overly sensitive to constantly being told no in Hudson.
