In the past year, the building at the intersection of Green and Columbia streets has gotten some fresh black and white paint and a name: Crossroads.
Today in the Register-Star, Victoria Addison reports what many driving by the building have already surmised: "Green Street building to lose Subway, Carvel, and a laundromat." Although Addison's article doesn't mention it, the regular presence of Subway trucks in front of the old Dairy Queen building, which was most recently Davi's Delights, suggests that Subway may just be moving up the street. That possibility, however, has so far not been confirmed.
Update: Bill Williams just informed me that 98.5 The Cat had the story last week: "Hudson losing two food establishments." Subway and Carvel are leaving for good; the laundromat is moving into the old Dairy Queen building that was Davi's Delights.
