On May 13, 1918, American Expeditionary Forces paraded through London, past Buckingham Palace where they were saluted by King George V. The next day, the event was front page news in the Columbia Republican. The event has no unique connection to Hudson, but Gossips reproduces it here for no reason other than it's interesting.
The picture below shows the recently arrived American soldiers having a box lunch before beginning their parade through London.
