Interesting Turn of Events

It has been announced more than once that the Hudson Housing Authority would be at the Common Council Housing and Transportation Committee meeting this evening to talk about the plan to create new income based housing across from Bliss Towers on State Street. That presentation probably will not happen.

Gossips has learned that HHA has withdrawn its application to the Planning Board for site plan review, and the project is being put on hold. There is no explanation of why this action was taken, but more information may be available at the next HHA board meeting, which takes place on Wednesday, February 13, at 6:00 p.m., in the Community Room at Bliss Towers.

  1. This as a welcome development for an unwelcome development. I look forward to the next HHA board meeting. Hopefully there are plenty of eyeballs on this project and we can look forward to a constructive meeting, not one taking place largely in executive session.
