Food Closer to You

Rolling Grocer 19 took a holiday hiatus but didn't return on the appointed day in January because of the challenges of keeping the trailer warm in the frigid winter temperatures. Today, two exciting things regarding RG19 happened. First, the Historic Preservation Commission granted a certificate of appropriateness for the sign RG19 intended to hang at 6 South Second Street. Then, just minutes ago, Gossips received the following press release:
On March 5th, 2019, Rolling Grocer 19 will re-open its doors in a new, permanent location at 6 South 2nd St. in Hudson, New York. After operating a mobile trailer in the city of Hudson for three months, the Rolling Grocer 19 team is thrilled to announce its subsequent expansion and move into a brick and mortar location downstreet in Hudson. Formerly the site of Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood, Rolling Grocer 19 Hudson, NY, continues the location’s legacy by inhabiting that space as a community-based organization, with the mission to make wholesome food available to everyone in Columbia County, thereby increasing health and collective well-being. The move into a permanent space will come with extended hours of operation.

Rolling Grocer 19 Hudson, NY, will continue to stock the same staple items as featured on the trailer while also increasing the bulk variety to accommodate more products at great prices. We value customer feedback and will continue to solicit input on what items we should carry that are part of your staple diets. If you had previously signed up into our point-of-sale system on the trailer, you will be automatically transferred to our system in the storefront. We encourage you to come by and check us out, and bring a friend or family member with you!
Warmer months and close collaboration with the store will allow for the trailer to expand its operations throughout Columbia County beyond Hudson. Stay tuned for further developments of the expanded trailer routes.
