Rob Perry, superintendent of Public Works, reported this evening at the informal Common Council meeting that the bids for the construction of the new Ferry Street Bridge will be opened on Thursday, September 14, at 10:00 a.m., at the Central Fire Station, 77 North Seventh Street. This is an important moment for Hudson. The bridge has been closed to vehicular traffic since early October 2014. Funds for rebuilding the bridge were secured in April 2016. At that time, it was projected that, according to the timeline determined by the DOT, construction of the new bridge would begin in 2020.
