Beneath the Pale

On Monday, Gossips celebrated the unveiling of the facade at 410 Warren Street, a building which had until recently been owned by Phil Gellert. 

A reader commented that there's another Gellert building in the same block of Warren Street--No. 432--that is for sale and waiting for its original beauty to be rediscovered. To preview what may lie beneath, Gossips juxtaposes a picture of the building taken last summer with a picture taken in the aftermath of the Great Blizzard of 1888.
