This afternoon, two of the three members of the Board of Estimate and Apportionment--the mayor and the Common Council president (the treasurer reportedly was on jury duty)--met in Council Chambers at City Hall to open the sealed bids for 427 Warren Street, the former police station.
Alas, there were no bids.
It's hard to imagine that no one wants this mid-century building on Hudson's main street.

ReplyDeleteJust to be clear I am not speaking on anybody’s behalf only my opinion when I say this……Building needs costly work and a lot of it, price is a tad bit too high and the conditions place on that sale were utterly ridiculous! Result….No Bids!

With the new assessments out it now looks ridiculously cheap.
ReplyDeletewell Hudson has always been a town trying to make sure nothing ever works and is over regulated and over taxed.
ReplyDeleteThat building needs a second story. Looks like an abandoned convenience store.
ReplyDeletePut a For Sale sign on it and sell it. Who wants all the red tape?
