Another Day in Court

Amanda Purcell reports on HudsonValley360 about the plea deal reached in the case of the Crosswalk Four: "2 sentenced, two cases dismissed in crosswalk case."

 

Fourth Ward supervisor Linda Mussmann and her wife and partner, Claudia Bruce, pleaded guilty to painting the illegal crosswalks and will each do one hour of community service with the Department of Public Works. The cases against former Second Ward supervisor Ed Cross and Peter Spear were dismissed "in the interest of justice."

    okay -- who's ready and willing to paint crosswalks along the entirety of the truck route through town, where there are NONE? The penalty is minimal to non-existent, it seems.
