On Tuesday night, the Common Council held a special meeting to consider resolutions to support a grant application for funding to study and address the issue of displacement in Hudson and to cooperate with the Hudson Housing Authority in its RAD conversion and plans to make improvements to Bliss Towers.
On the latter resolution, Council president Tom DePietro, who makes a point of not voting unless there is a tie, voted aye along with the rest of the Council, explaining that he was doing so because he was "so happy this is going through." He went on to say, "Twenty-five units back online--that is creating housing in the city of Hudson."
Dan Udell was there to document the proceedings. His video can be viewed here.
