The following is a message from the bishop of the Eparchy of Stamford, which came by way of the priest at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church here in Hudson and a Gossips reader.
How to Help Ukraine
I propose three safe and reliable avenues of help: the first through the auspices of the Ukrainian Catholic Church Metropolia of Philadelphia and another two recommended by the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America.
The bishops of the Metropolia of Philadelphia have created a special fund entitled: "War Victims and Humanitarian Crisis in Ukraine." The fund can be accessed through the website of the Archeparchy of Philadelphia: www.ukrarcheparchy.us.
Two other avenues of providing aid have been offered by the Ukrainian Congress Committee. They can be accessed at the following websites: https://www.gofundme.com/f/humanitarian-aid-to-victims-of-war-in-ukraine and https://www.mightycause.com/story/M1wzpf.
They are safe and reliable and through them we are confident that the financial aid will be directed to where it is needed most. . . .
