Change at HDC

Yesterday, Gossips learned that Branda Maholtz has resigned her position as executive director of Hudson Development Corporation, a position she has held since 2020. The following is the press release announcing her resignation.
Branda C. Maholtz, Executive Director of the Hudson Development Corporation (HDC), has tendered her resignation effective June 30, Christine Jones, HDC President, announced today. Branda was hired in 2014 by former Executive Director, Sheena Salvino, and has worked in various capacities in continued support of the organization, most recently being promoted to Executive Director in 2020. Branda participated in many great HDC initiatives including working on the first Hudson Walking Guide, the development of the Hudson Business Coalition, the application and subsequent award of the very significant DRI grant, overseeing and managing three citizen Task Force groups during the Pandemic and the sale of the HDC real estate holdings including the 4.5 acre KAZ warehouse site earlier in 2022.
In her role, Branda worked to facilitate HDC’s mission, with all board members and the Executive Committee, on the day-to-day operations. She worked closely with former Presidents, most recently Robert Rasner, who termed out in March, and HDC’s Treasurer, Phil Forman, as well as Paul Barrett, HDC’s Secretary.
After the sale of the HDC property portfolio was completed, and HDC was positioned for growth, Branda felt that it was an appropriate time to end her tenure at HDC. Branda will pursue her own creative work. The HDC board is grateful to Branda for her dedication and unfailing support to the organization. Branda states, “I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside everyone at HDC and our partners at CEDC, the Chamber of Commerce, and, of course, our City of Hudson officials.” She continues, “I am proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish.”
The Hudson Development Corp has begun a search for her replacement. If you are interested in the position or have a candidate, please contact HDC President, Christine Jones.
