The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since Friday, there have been 25 new cases of COVID-19. The number of active cases being reported today is 12 fewer than Friday, from which it can be inferred that, since Friday, 37 county residents have recovered from the virus. There is 1 fewer county resident hospitalized today than on Friday, but 2 more of those hospitalized are in the ICU. There has not been a death from COVID-19 reported in Columbia County since Wednesday, June 8.
A year ago, June 13 was a Sunday, and the CCDOH did not report COVID numbers. On the previous Friday, June 11, 2021, the CCDOH reported 1 new case of COVID-19. The total number of cases was 4,251, and the number of active cases was 9. There were 19 county residents in mandatory quarantine, 2 were hospitalized, and 0 were in the ICU. The total number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Columbia County at this time last year was 94.
