Pipeline from schools to prison - privatized prisons need young and strong to be their work force - replacing illegal immigrants - so corporate power can cut expenses on their product.
The biggest problem in Hudson is not lack of knowledge about the problem -- or even the solutions. It's acting on that knowledge and those recommended solutions. Just one example: last year's Code of Conduct review committee report (http://www.hudsoncityschooldistrict.com/boe/committees/cocc/cocc-final-report.pdf). I would guess that few of the 18 recommendations have been implemented. The district wonders why taxpayers vote NO on the budget.
