The Historic Preservation Commission is holding a public hearing this morning at 10 a.m. on the proposal to demolish the accessory building in Cherry Alley behind 405 Warren Street and construct a new building in its place. The building in question is shown in these images--the first was taken by Gossips last month; the second shows photographs of the building taken by Bill Hellermann around 1998 (top) and Lisa Durfee in 2008 (bottom), which were part of the exhibition No Parking: The Alleys and Garages of Hudson, installed at the Hudson Opera House in January 2017.

The public hearing was originally scheduled for October 27 but, for lack of a quorum last week, had to be rescheduled for today. COPYRIGHT 2017 CAROLE OSTERINK
