In 2016, a student at Bard College wrote a senior essay that posited mention of Hudson in the New York Times--as well as Vogue, New York Magazine, and The New Yorker--was the major driver of our city's renaissance: "Fit to Print: Hudson's Gentrification in the New York Times, 1985-2016." It seems now such media coverage may drive a pandemic comeback. This article appeared earlier this week in Vogue: "Why a Visit to Hudson, New York, Is Better Than Ever." Needless to say, The Maker gets a lot of attention.
