Meetings of Interest in the Week Ahead

Ditch the coats and sweaters. This week promises to end feeling like midsummer. Meanwhile, here are the meetings happening this week.
  • On Monday, April 10, the Common Council holds a special meeting at 5:45 p.m. The purpose of the special meeting is to "consider resolution(s) to pay contractors related to City Hall renovations." What they will likely be considering is which proposal to remediate asbestos in the basement of the building will be pursued--one that will cost $36,263.92 or one that will cost $56,789.79.   • On Monday, April 10, at 6:00 p.m., the Common Council holds its informal meeting for the month. Among the resolutions to be introduced is one authorizing City sponsorship of events taking place in Hudson. Here is a preview of how the Events Committee decided to divvy up the $30,000 allocated for the purpose this year.

    • Park Theater Second Saturdays—$3,000

  • On Tuesday, April 11, the Planning Board meets at 6:00 p.m. The agenda for the meeting can be found here. New on the agenda is the proposal to merge 250 and 252 Union Street into one parcel to be renovated into one building with seven residential units. This project is part of The Spark of Hudson's affordable housing project called HudsonDots.
