Helpful Information for Twelfth Night

Today is the Twelfth Day of Christmas--time to put away your Christmas decorations. It's bad luck to leave them out any longer.

If you are wondering what to do with the tree once it is stripped of its lights, ornaments, and tinsel, here is the word from the Department of Public Works. Put your Christmas tree at the curb or in the alley--wherever you put your garbage and your recyclables for pick up--and DPW will take it away. They won't take it with the garbage or the recyclables, but they will pick it up when they get the chance. Get your tree out there soon. The last day for Christmas tree collection is Friday, January 29.

  1. Who invented this 12th night business? Now that the temperature has plummeted, I'm enjoying the coziness of lights and decorations and the smell of needles and pitch more than ever. Twelfth night: bah humbug!
