Dear Diary,
This morning, I noticed a man sitting near his car parked at Rick's Point, with a boom box playing the most beautiful classical music. I didn't realize what it was until I got home and read that today, 7.17.17, is the 300th anniversary of when Handel's Water Music was first played on the Thames River. So wonderful that someone in Hudson was thoughtful enough to honor the anniversary by our river.
Susan SimonThe 300th anniversary of the first performance of Handel's Water Music was the subject of a story on NPR's All Things Considered this afternoon: "300 Years of Handel's 'Water Music,' with a Splash of Politics."
