I wasn't going to be the one to spill the beans, but since people who were very likely not on the original invitation list are now posting the news on Facebook, there's no reason for me to hold back. Governor Andrew Cuomo is coming to Hudson tomorrow, Tuesday, August 1, to make "an exciting announcement" having to do with economic development. He is expected to be at the Hudson Opera House at noon.
Let's hope it's not like last year at this time when the governor came to Hudson. We all hoped he would announce that Hudson was getting $10 million in the Downtown Revitalization Initiative, but instead he announced the "Broadband for All" initiative. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Maybe he's coming to announce a more responsible sewer separation plan than the crookedly obtained one we're about to build that's straight out of the 1940s.
ReplyDeleteDirty money for a dirty deed and we're accepting it, why?
Oh right, as a monument for a past mayor who'll never be mayor again (and to hell with the North Bay).
I suspect Cuomo's coming to tell us that we don't need to behave as stupidly as we always suppose we do. Boy, has he got it wrong!
Thats Hudson unheimlich - shoot yourself in the foot is always preferred to doing the right thing.
