Tomorrow, Saturday, September 14, Friends of Oakdale Lake inaugurate autumn programming at Oakdale with an afternoon of "Salsa in the Sand."
The festivities begin at 3:00 p.m. with food--pozole, tortillas, salsa, and empanadas freshly prepared by Arlen Medina and Sofia Hernandez. From 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Andrew Loren Resto will be giving free lessons in salsa dancing. Then, starting at 5:00 p.m and continuing until 7:00 p.m., there will be a salsa dance party, with music provided by DJ Juan Sanchez.
"Salsa in the Sand" aims to raise awareness of the wonderful asset Oakdale Lake is to the City of Hudson and the value of vitalizing the park for the whole community.
The event is free and open to all. Those planning to attend are asked to RVSP at salsainthesand.eventbrite.com. For more information, visit friendsofoakdalelake.com.
