The Rewards of Curiosity

When a Common Council meeting is coming up, Gossips makes a point of checking the Council agenda on the City of Hudson website to see what documents have been added. Doing that just now, I discovered a resolution appointing Amber Harris to fill the Third Ward Council seat relinquished by Calvin Lewis. That resolution can be found here.


Of course, there is no guarantee that by next Tuesday night there won't be a similar resolution appointing someone else, and it will be up to the Council to decide which resolution passes.

    A glimmer of hope. Amber's addition to the council will be a positive one. A thoughtful, educated, self-directed critical thinker. She may be a bit lonely but she'll do well.

      The way the vote for majority and minority leader went, there is certainly a glimmer of hope that leadership at the Common Council is moving things in a better direction for the community.

    I'm so glad to see Amber take her seat on the Common Council. Let's hope no shenanigans arise between now and her swearing-in to keep that from happening.
