Yesterday's post about 726 Columbia Street and the revised plan for the building's restoration inspired a reader to send me this picture of the building from the History Room postcard collection at the Hudson Area Library.
Soon after the Gifford-Wood Company moved to its new location at the end of Hudson Avenue in 1911, William Petry opened a garage and car dealership in the building that had been the Gifford Foundry. Judging by the cars that appear in the picture, it seems this picture of Wm. Petry, Inc., was taken sometime in the 1930s.
