In today's Hudson City School District election, only 342 people bothered to vote on the budget. Of those, 258 voted yes to approve the district's $54.5 million budget for the 2023-2024 school year, and 84 voted no. Last year, there were 699 votes on the budget. The budget then was approved 432 to 267.
In the election for members of the Board of Education, 251 voted for Calvin Lewis, 266 voted for Kjirsten Gustavson, and 44 voted for write-in candidates.
And so it goes. Nothing changes.
