Tonight at 401 State Street
The resolution authorizing Social Services Commissioner Paul Mossman to enter into a lease agreement with Galvan Initiatives Foundation on a building that hasn't been built and doesn't yet have an agreeed-upon plan didn't make it out of the Finance Committee last night, so that resolution will not be voted on tonight when the Board of Supervisors meets at 7:30 p.m. There may, however, be discussion of the proposed project, and another topic of interest will be taken up: the fire at TCI Industries. Bill Black, director of Columbia County Emergency Management, will be present to discuss the issues raised by the fire. The discussion of both topics--the homeless shelter and the TCI fire--is likely to be only among the supervisors and not involve the public.
