The renovation of our glorious New York State Capitol in Albany was completed last year. In today's New York Times there is a visual tour of this 19th-century symbol of New York's prosperity: "Capitol Redux."

  1. In addition to H.H. Richardson (my favorite architect of all time), Thomas Fuller and Leopold Eidlitz are credited as architets of the NYS Capitol. The fourth and final architect was Isaac Gale Perry, the designer of the armory in Hudson.

  2. I was told it was (surprise) the costliest building in America when it was built.
