Those who attend meetings in the Council chamber at City Hall know that the very 1960s wall clock once mounted on the east wall hasn't worked for quite a while. When it first stopped working, around 2007, it remained on the wall for several years, telling the correct time twice a day. Not long ago, when the chamber was repainted, the clock was removed, leaving a gaping hole where the clockworks had been.
Last night, there was a new clock on the wall--new but definitely old. A little investigation discovered that the clock came from Regan & Smith, 601 Warren Street, and had been acquired and mounted on the wall by Alderman Nick Haddad (First Ward).
Bravo - an antique! (Or semi anyway).
ReplyDeleteDefinitely old school -- the clock that is.
ReplyDeleteThat clock from the 1960's is in perfect synch with our city government!
