Looking Ahead to Next Week

The proposal for "re-imagining" the Public Square, a.k.a. Seventh Street Park, which was presented to the public on June 13 (on the Friday before the Monday when the grant application to fund the project was due), did not meet with universal praise. 

It now seems the plan is to start tweaking the vision, with public input, while waiting to see if the City will actually be awarded the $250,000 to make it happen. Toward that end, Sheena Salvino, HDC executive director, has announced a meeting to discuss the Public Square, to take place next Tuesday, at 6:30, at 1 North Front Street. Mark your calendars and plan to be there.
