The Morning After

Last Thursday, Mayor William Hallenbeck vetoed the proposed amendments to the process of getting a mass gathering permit. The Common Council had passed those amendments unanimously in June. Tonight the Council votes on whether or not to override the mayor's veto. It will take a two-thirds majority to override a mayoral veto. The vote was unanimous before. Who among the aldermen may have been persuaded to change his or her mind by the mayor's opposition and accusations of "vendetta"?

Whatever the outcome tonight, tomorrow morning Council president Don Moore will be discussing this and other Hudson issues with journalist Debora Gilbert at 10 a.m. on @Issue on WGXC--90.7 F.M. or online.
