Happening This Saturday

It's spring, and in a few weeks--seven, to be exact--it will be time for the Hudson Children's Book Festival, which takes place this year on May 7. This Saturday, March 19, you are invited to attend the annual pre-festival cocktail party to benefit the Hudson Children's Book Festival Literacy Fund and in so doing help ensure that every child in the Hudson City School District can participate fully in the book festival. The party, which is hosted by Colin and Katrina Stair, will take place at Stair Galleries, 549 Warren Street, from 5 to 7 p.m. As in the past, your $25 contribution will enable a student to purchase a book at the festival directly from the author of his or her choice.

If you plan to attend the party, you are asked to RSVP. If you cannot attend but want to help a child acquire a book, you can make your contribution to Hudson Children's Book Festival Literacy Fund, P.O.B. 5, Hudson, NY 12534.
