Upstairs, Downstairs

In December, Gossips reported that Eric Galloway, or the Galvan Foundation, was said to be buying the brick Gothic Revival house at Allen and Second streets.

This morning Galvan ownership was confirmed when a trio of workers wearing T-shirts with the Galvan logo began removing things from the house and tossing them into a dumpster.

Galvan now owns the historic house at the top of the Second Street stairs, which once belonged to Charles Alger, one of the trustees of the Hudson Iron Works, and the historic house at the bottom of the Second Street stairs, the Robert Taylor House.
