Tonight at 6 p.m., the organizers of the Fair & Equal initiative are holding a town hall meeting at the Hudson Area Library.
The initiative seeks to do away with the inequity of Hudson's weighted vote system by replacing the current ward divisions with legislative districts of equal population.
Following a brief presentation by the organizers, there will be an informal conversation during which questions and concerns can be raised and will be addressed. Those attending the town hall meeting will have the opportunity to sign a petition to put a proposition to create legislative districts of equal population on the ballot in November.
