Hudson Stands with Orlando
Two hundred people came together in Washington Square Park this evening to mourn and honor the victims of the heinous attack in Orlando. Several people shared their thoughts about the tragedy, including Mayor Tiffany Martin Hamilton and a visitor from San Francisco who came to the vigil with his husband. The bell at Christ Church tolled fifty times for the fifty lives that were lost. Then participants carrying the giant rainbow flag, which has made its appearance in every one of Hudson's pride parades, led a solemn procession from the park to City Hall.
