Almost a month ago, Gossips shared a press release from Didi Barrett, our representative in the State Assembly, about her involvement in an initiative to persuade the New York City Council to put $5 million in the city budget to protect farms in the Hudson Valley--the source of fresh fruits and vegetables to underserved neighborhoods in New York City. Yesterday, there was an article about this same initiative, with its focus on the other side of the river, in the New York Times: "Real Estate Boom Pinches a Food Supply in the Hudson Valley."
