Buyer Beware

Later this week, Wyndcliffe, the 19th-century mansion designed by George Veitch for Elizabeth Schermerhorn Jones, will be sold to the highest bidder in a bankruptcy auction. Lest there be someone out there thinking that the mansion is a Please Don't Eat the Daisies kind of fixer upper, Liz Cooke at Abandoned Hudson Valley intends to disabuse people of that notion: "Wyndcliffe Is Being Auctioned. Too Bad It's Already Going, Going, Gone."
