Delgado Talks About Affordable Housing

Last night, Congressman Antonio Delgado was at Bliss Towers to "listen to community members share their experiences, hear their questions, and learn more about the barriers they face while looking for an affordable apartment." He also heard complaints about assessments and property taxes, lack of public transportation, and along with other issues. Dan Udell was there to document the conversation, and his video can now be seen on YouTube

  1. A little-known but quirky local law:

"The Common Council of the City of Hudson shall have exclusive power to acquire, own and operate transit facilities of any nature within said City's boundaries. ..." (§C12-28).

Generally speaking Common Councils don't tend to own things, but our Council already owns The Promenade park.
