Of Interest on a Sunday Morning

Back in April, a video about an evangelical church in Cincinnati circulated on Facebook. It seems there's a church right here in Hudson that takes the same defiant attitude toward the pandemic. Aliya Schneider reports about it this weekend in the Register-Star: "Churches reaction to COVID rules vary."

  1. I thought it seemed strange that so many people were hugging each other outside the church without masks a few months ago after what seemed like a wedding. Be careful folks!

  2. No need for concern. They can pray the virus away. Don't forget, the VP promised us a miracle very soon. Keep the faith! Only heathens get infected.

  3. There is so much wrong here on so many levels: First, RSC has always flaunted the rules (remember the military-style float they presented during the Flag Day (?) parade recently?). Second, code enforcement in Hudson is a JOKE, a laughable excuse for ensuring building owners follow the rules and this story highlights the complete lack of doing their job. So let's see what happens CoVid-wise with the congregation (stay tuned to Gossips for a potential spike). I don't know what's worse, the pastor making a joke about following the rules or the congregation laughing at it.
Bravo to the churches that are protecting their parishioners by following the guidelines. Hey Rock Solid - you wanna know WWJD? I seem to recall him saying something about taking care of one another, so you can drop the false piety.
