STR Legislation Update

In advance of tonight's Common Council meeting, the latest version of the legislation to regulate short term rentals in Hudson has been posted on the City of Hudson website. What's new in this version is the definition of the amortization period--one year--and the possibility of appealing for extensions of that period, on the basis of hardship, for as many as three years. Here is the relevant text. (Click on the image below to enlarge.)

Assuming the language regarding the amortization period is acceptable to the members of the Common Council, there will be a vote at tonight's meeting to lay the legislation on the aldermen's desks. The Council is likely to vote on enacting the law in October.
