Many are concerned about the designs proposed by Arterial for the Hudson Connects project, which is meant to introduce Complete Streets principles in the area of the city below Second Street known, for DRI (Downtown Revitalization Initiative) purposes, as "the BRIDGE District." The criticism is that what's proposed seems to introduce a suburban or shopping mall aesthetic rather than respecting the city's historic character.

A lot of important meeetings this hot week. I agree with Phil Forman and John Schobel. The designs look sooo suburban, I worried about Promenade Hill too, and as for the projects on 7th & State street, good Lord we'll be turning into a mini Bronx. Thank goodness for the HPC
