Once upon a time, 327 Warren Street was City Hall. It was built as City Hall in 1855. Now, the coronavirus seems to be making the building the unofficial city hall once again.
The IDA public hearing on the Galvan Foundation's requests for PILOTs and other financial benefits for the two apartment buildings proposed for North Seventh Street will take place at 327 Warren Street, now known as Hudson Hall, on Wednesday, August 11, at 5:00 p.m. Gossips has just learned that the regular meeting of the Planning Board, scheduled for Tuesday, August 10, at 6:00 p.m., will also take place at Hudson Hall.
Unlike in the past, when city meetings took place in the Council Chamber on the first floor of the building, the meetings next week will likely take place in the second floor auditorium. Be advised that attendees will be required to wear masks, regardless of their vaccination status, and people will be required to sign in, for the purpose of contact tracing.
