Last night, at the informal Common Council meeting, a resolution was introduced to spend $2,475 for "the configuration, installation, and maintenance of an audio/visual system capable of delivering a seamless HD Live Streaming experience." Although the resolution identifies the budget line from which the money will come from as "Hospitalization," city treasurer Heather Campbell indicated that it may be possible to use ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funds to pay for this equipment.
The resolution was introduced last night, and the Council will be voting on it next week Tuesday. Once the equipment is in place, it will be possible for the public to observe and participate in meetings that take place at City Hall remotely.

Amen, and not just because of COVID. The more people watch, the more people know.

ReplyDeleteTom DePietro has once again shown how ego-driven management style, poor planning, and a reactive strategy can leave the Hudson community playing catch up.
