A Holiday Tradition

For some people, getting through the holiday season without hearing "The Little Drummer Boy" is a longed for goal. The opposite is the case with Handel's Messiah. For many, it isn't Christmas without hearing or better yet singing Messiah. For the latter group, the opportunity presents itself this coming Saturday, December 19, at 4 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church.

Once again, as part of Classics on Hudson's second season of concerts, Gwen Gould will conduct an instrumental ensemble and featured soloists for the annual Messiah SING. The audience is invited to pick up a score and join the chorus for the Christmas portion of Handel's beloved oratorio.

There is a suggested donation of $15 for adults. (The event is free for participants 18 and under, and families are welcome.) Reservations for this popular community event are encouraged and can be made by calling the Hudson Opera House at (518) 822-1438 or visiting the HOH website.
