Ear to the Ground

This news has been circulating for a while, but it has been confirmed by a post on Facebook. The former Fairview Cinema 3 is going to be a movie theater again. Last night, J. Wase Construction Corporation in Athens posted the following statement on its Facebook page: 
We are excited to announce that we are getting started on a new project. The former Fairview Cinema 3 in Hudson NY will soon be Cosmic Theaters where you will be able to enjoy dinner and a movie with new comfortable seating, amazing atmosphere and a bar with cocktails.
There's no information about who will operate the theater. The name Cosmic Theaters somehow doesn't suggest it's likely to be the Hudson equivalent of Upstate Films in Rhinebeck or Spectrum in Albany, but you never know.

    i would hope nothing in hudson would become the equivalent of anything in rhinebeck vis a vis their horrid capitalist squalor.
