Rites of Spring

Something to remember as you dig out your car and shovel your sidewalk: the first day of spring is just two weeks away. A customary early spring event in Hudson is coming up soon as well: the Hudson Children's Book Festival Literacy Fund cocktail party.

The cocktail party, hosted by Colin and Katrina Stair, takes place on Saturday, March 24, at Stair Galleries, 549 Warren Street. The donation of $50 required for admission supports the HCBF Literacy Fund's "Good For" program, which guarantees that every student in the Hudson City School District can buy the book of his or her choice at the Hudson Children's Book Festival on Saturday, May 5, as well as other programs that encourage literacy and inspire a love of reading. So, mark your calendars and plan to be there.
