Of Interest

Yesterday, the National Review published the first of two articles by its art critic, Brian T. Allen, about Olana: "How Olana, Frederic Church's Home, Survived the Bulldozer and Thrived."

  1. It sometimes happens -- intelligent and honest people getting together for the good of all, and saving something rare and unique, like the City of Hudson should be saved.

    1. The Hudson Opera House was also saved the same way, when we were a closer knit community. We constantly have to push back on the wrecker's ball and projects that will destroy Hudson's uniqueness.

    2. It didn't hurt that then Gov Rockefeller came from a heritage of saving art and history.
